32 years ago the first international money fair in Switzerland was held in Basel.
For the first ten years the Basle event was a purely classical exchange for coin
collectors. The first time that a government mint (Royal Canadian Mint)
participated in 1981 was the start of a successful development from the coin
exchange and the money fair and the World Money Fair, the leading specialized
fair in the world for coin manufacturers with 200 exhibitors from 40 countries
and all continents.
